The issue of the proposed housing development was not raised by any member of the public at this meeting. Nor was it mentioned by the elected members.
Most of the meeting consisted of a discussion about car parking problems and solutions in the Formby National Trust Area and Squirrel Green.
The proposed scheme was modified, parking restrictions at the junction of Squirrel Green and Harington Road will be introduced.
After questions and comments by members of the public there is going to be more consultation.
Formby Area Committee will meet this Thursday 13 September at 7pm at Formby Professional Development Centre, Park Road, Formby.
This will be the first official meeting of the Committee after the recent public meeting about the proposed Housing Development off the Liverpool Road. There is no formal item on the agenda about the controversial housing proposals.
